Melbourne is my spiritual home of sorts. There is such a great rock and roll legacy and tradition in that town and Australia in general. I've been buying Black/Red Eye, Missing Link, and Aberrant et al. stuff for ages and eventually "discovered" James McCann after I heard the Drones cover his tune "This Time." We have become mates in recent years, and I had written this song, "Gold Dust," that I thought was right up is alley. He was up for it, so we did our best Mick and Keef harmony bit, and James blasted out a crackin' guitar solo. All of his parts were recorded remotely, of course, which is the beauty of modern technology. It has revolutionized the creative process.
